Rae Ann Compton provides practical, client-focused counsel in divorce and family law matters, helping clients make informed decisions during high-stress transitions.

Rae Ann received her AS at Pasco Hernando Community College (now Pasco Hernando State College), a BS in Political Science from Saint Leo College (now Saint Leo University) and finally a JD at Stetson University College of Law.

Initially, she worked for the State Attorney's Office for the Sixth Judicial Circuit both on the east side of Pasco County as well as the west. In 2003, she went into private practice. Currently, she is a partner with Compton and Smith, P.A.

We focus primarily on family law to include divorce, child custody, child support, post judgment and paternity, criminal law, and personal injury. Our office is located in New Tampa and we practice primarily in Hillsborough County and Pasco County. We strive to strongly advocate for our clients.

While she was born in Des Moines, Iowa, she grew up in Dade City and always loved the small town feel; currently residing in Wesley Chapel. She is very family oriented, loves animals, and remains committed to helping others.
